Expansion plans make good progress at Wardle Academy

Truman Design and Build is currently in the thick of a major extension project at Wardle Academy in Rochdale. Commissioned by Watergrove Trust with a budget of £1.4m, this project targets completion by Winter 2023.

Here’s a bit more about the task at hand:

At the heart of this project is an expansion of the Anderson Suite, where three fresh classrooms and kitchen facilities are taking shape. Not stopping there, the suite is also seeing some changes: the ladies' toilets are relocating, there's a new entrance hall on the way, and even the boilers are getting an upgrade.

What about the new developments since our last update?

The timber frame superstructure is almost done and dusted, set to finish up before the end of October. After that, we'll be moving on to fitting windows and getting the roof coverings in place, making sure everything's sealed up tight before the interior works begin.

All in all, with the student numbers on the rise, this project is key to ensuring Wardle Academy has the space and facilities it needs to offer a top-quality educational experience.

Keep an eye out for more updates as we continue to bring this project to life.
