Work to start at Unicorn Hall

Following the completion of similar schemes in the area, Truman has been appointed to work on another Preston-based project for Unicorn Developments. Unicorn Hall will feature a mixture of renovation and new build construction to generate 133 brand-new, market leading serviced apartments.

The Grade II listed Unicorn hotel and public house will form the foundation of this ambitious project, with the heritage aspect of the building heavily preserved and emphasised through careful construction works. This existing building will predominately house the communal facilities for students to relax and study, whilst the new build, steel frame structure to the rear will accommodate many of the luxury studios.

The venue had a 200-year history of serving thirsty customers before its closure in 2017. Now, with a new lease on life, the historic building will take on a new purpose, featuring as part of Preston’s built environment for many years to come.

With completion for early 2024 and a value of £9.5m, Truman looks forward to applying its usual game-changing attitude to deliver the best possible results for our client.
